For Making Designs and Motifs of your own
Instructions and Information
BEWARE: THIS METHOD PRODUCES A MIRROR IMAGE OF YOUR DESIGN.

|
| Design a pattern either through freehand on tracing paper or on a computer using a graphics package | Invert the graphics by turning the paper over or by using the mirror feature in the graphics package |
|
|
|
| Print and tape the paper onto a flat surface such as a table | Peel and tape the transfer film ontop of the design sticky side up so that the pattern shows through |

|
|
| Using tweezers apply the stones to the sticky side of the transfer tape. Make sure the stones are glue side up. The flat back of the stone facing up. | Once you have finished applying your stones your motif is now ready to apply to the garment |

|
| Unfix the motif ready to apply to the garment | Invert and place the motif sticky side down onto the garment. The flat backed glue is now touching the garment |

|
|
| Place a pre-heated iron on the film and let it remain in place for several seconds. Use a cloth to protect your iron and create a uniform heating surface. Move the iron as needed to cover the entire design. | Allow to cool and slowly peel back transfer tape. If stones have not glued then re-cover and apply more heat. |
This method produces a mirror image. So any writing needs to be reversed. You could do this by using tracing paper and then turn it upside down and tape to the table.
Alternatively you can place the stones glue side down on your pattern then place the sticky side of the transfer paper over the top to pick all the stones up.
ABOUT THE TAPE

| This is a smooth cellophane material covered with a white backing. | The same as normal but the cellophane is rough, this actually helps the stones stick better to the cellophane. | A much more expensive tape. It is uneven but made from a material which aids the heat through to the stone. |
