New York Fashion Week A/W 2019 - and THIS spectacular gown appears from designer Bibu Mohapatra embellished with Preciosa Crystals. Bibhu Mohapatra’s evening wear has been worn by some of today’s most notable and respected celebrities, including former first lady, Michelle Obama, actress Gwyneth Paltrow and TV host Oprah Winfrey.

You might recognise this image from Glastonbury 2019. One hundred and twenty thousand Preciosa crystals adorned the golden dress Kylie Minogue put on for her Golden album tour. A team of ten couturiers from the London Kolchagov Barba Studio Designers embellished the dress to reflect hundreds of rays of light with Crystal Aurum rhinestones and envelope Kylie in an aura of golden sunshine.

Tony Award winning Actor Billy Porter arrived at the 2019 Met Gala carried on a litter by six shirtless men in a nod to Ancient Egypt. Billy knew that The Blonds had previously done an Egyptian-themed runway show, which he really loved "and given the massive collection of Egyptian art the Met has, it was also our way to pay respect to that.” Customized for Billy, the catsuit was embellished by hand . . . with a mix of Preciosa crystals and chain fringe, as well as gold bugle beads. This is meant to emulate the rays of the sun as they catch and move the light.

While hosting the West Coast version of 2015 New Years’ Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest, Stacy “Fergie” Ferguson took the stage donned in a costume encrusted with over 10,000 distinct Preciosa Czech crystals to sing her latest hit, L.A. Love. “Fergie’s one-of-a-kind outfit, designed by The Blonds, consisted of thousands of dollars worth of Preciosa crystals, weighing nearly seventeen (17) pounds.

Kylie concluded her Golden tour ending the show in a fabulous green jumpsuit embellished with 80,000 Preciosa crystals. The colours used to achieve the final effect include Emerald, Erinite, Aquamarine, Light Topaz and Blue Zircon.

2015 Madonna turned to fashion design duo The Blonds and the beautiful Preciosa crystal components they use. In her “Livin’ for Love” music video, Madonna steals the screen in a custom corset by The Blonds with thousands of precision-cut Czech crystals.
